Community Help Fund
The Community Help Fund is a ministry supporting persons in need living in Northern Boone County. If you or someone you know is struggling financially, please call the church to make an appointment with the pastor regarding your situation. To contribute to this ministry, please make checks payable to PGUMC noting Community Help Fund in the memo line. Mail to: PO Box 217, Poplar Grove, IL 61065
5th Sunday Appeal Offering to the Community Help Fund
We are intentional about supporting the Community Help Fund Ministry in months with a 5th Sunday.
North Boone Christian Food Pantry
We support the North Boone Christian Food Pantry through food collection and monetary donations. The pantry distributes holiday food boxes five times each year and provides emergency food boxes at PGUMC for persons living in northern Boone County. Volunteers are needed to help with packing boxes and distribution.
Helping Hands
Located in Belvidere, Helping Hands is dedicated to assisting people in either financial or physical crisis when other community organizations are unable to help. This can include medical equipment needs, utility or rental assistance, and household needs.
Baby Ministry
We support “The Baby Bank” of Boone County through the collection of donations of disposable diapers, wipes & ointments.
