Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Staff:
Pastor
Paul Nolden became part of the ministry team here at Poplar Grove UMC on July 1,
2010. He has been pastoring churches since 1991 in a variety of settings
including rural, small town and suburban where he led a New Church Plant. Most
recently before Poplar Grove he served at the Walnut UMC for 7 years. Pastor
Paul grew up in New England graduating from York High School in York, Maine on
the ocean in the Land of Lobster. He graduated from Illinois Valley Community
College, Trinity University and the University of DuBuque Theological Seminary.
Faith Community Director Linda Geishert has been a
member
of the church staff since 1996 and a church member since 1980. She handles
various office duties, volunteer coordinating, edits and prints the monthly
Messenger newsletter, is active in the Evening Circle, and the hand bell
choir.

Danice Loveridge, a 12 year member of PGUMC is the Director of Congregational Care. She was raised in Capron and lives with her husband in Candlewick Lake. She had a 20 year career as a Respiratory Therapist prior to exploring ministry. She obtained her BA of Human Services from Judson University in Rockford and is currently a student at Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Evanston.
Office Assistant Kim Giss
has been a member of PGUMC since 1999 and the church staff
since 2008. She handles the weekly bulletins for church services and other
miscellaneous office duties as needed. She lives in Poplar Grove with her
husband and two children.
